The UK is in shock as yet another event which attempts to latch onto Kids latest fad turns into a poorly designed and executed “Festival” which hundreds are now asking for refunds for.

The 2 Day Festival of Fortnite was held in Norwich at the Norfolk Showground. Visitors have complained about having to queue for two hours plus to get in, however it appears this was the most entertaining element of the event.

2,800 People turned up, and apparently they had nothing to do, there was Archery and a Climbing Wall (which btw have nothing to do with Fortnite) but could only take 2-3 people at a times.

For those over the age of Thirty and still trying to figure out what Fortnite is, the game involves a hundred characters dropping into a map. The last player standing is the winner and gets to eat a chicken dinner. Also there are dances, lots and lots of dances.

It’s some sort of trailer, tipped on its side with tarp over it. I dunno why.

Many are comparing the event to the Fyre Festival, but sadly its much much worse. Because this event was held near Norwich……

Oliver Phillips from Sudbury, Suffolk, said he and his 10-year-old son, Theo, were at the front of the queue when the event opened at 10am, by which time early-bird ticket holders were already leaving.

Speaking to local media, event organiser Shaun Lord said the long queues were a result of staffing issues.

However, he claimed it had been a “fantastic show”.

Writing on their Facebook page on Saturday, the organisers said that “so many happy children have enjoyed a great day at Fortnite Live Norwich today.”

They later added: “However, these happy visitors have been accompanied by a mixed bag of feedback with the queues wearing thin on some visitors’ patience and we sincerely apologise to those visitors who gave feedback regarding the queues.”

Update – EPIC GAMES Confirms they are now suing the Festivals creator
