Manchester Airport to add 4 new Hotels by 2021

1,200 new beds and 500 jobs across four hotels are due to added to the Manchester Airport site by 2021.

The new £180m hotel district, which is part of Airport City, will include two Hilton hotels, a Holiday Inn and an Ibis Budget.

The money will come from a London and Moscow based overseas investment and real estate firm and includes £4m investment into the Hilton Hotels on behalf of a Russian businessman.

The CEO said: “With an increasingly transient generation and globalised business environment, hotels are fast becoming some of the most reliable assets for investors with long term potential.

“They represent an excellent opportunity in areas with guaranteed high footfall, and the combination of Manchester’s rapid growth and £1bn airport masterplan looks set to make this a highly successful transaction.
